Breaking in baseball and softball gloves the PROPER way is an art - it isn't something to be taken lightly! When properly broken in, you can expect years of service from most any higher end fielding glove. When you ship YOUR glove to us for our Break-In Service, it'll be done RIGHT and it won't take you months to be able to use it!

DONE THE HARD WAY: BY A BALLPLAYER'S HAND
We're not just experienced with leather working: here at GamePreppedGloves, we're experienced baseball and softball players, too! This means that every glove we work on will be broken in by a professional who knows what it takes to rely on a glove at gametime. We don't bake gloves in an oven, we don't steam them, we don't use water and we don't use any snake oil or cream - we rely on good, old fashioned elbow grease!

SO WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU SHIP US A GLOVE TO BREAK IN?
When you ship us your new or used Baseball or Softball fielding glove to be broken in, your glove will first be wiped down and inspected, then treated to a full "Game Prepped" break-in by one of our experienced leather experts. All the gloves we work on are treated to a "double hinge" break-in except catcher's mitts, which means they're intended to be used with two fingers in the pinky slot (and shifting your other fingers over one slot, leaving the index finger slot empty.)

WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU SHIP US A GLOVE TO RE-LACE?
When you ship us your new or used Baseball or Softball fielding glove to be relaced, your glove will first be stripped of all the existing lace, then cleaned and conditioned using premium products. We will then replace the laces we removed with the best quality replacement laces (in the color you chose during checkout.) This option adds 1-2 business days of lead time to your order. Check out our Lace Color Guide by clicking here! Once the relacing is finished, we'll then perform the "Game Prepped" Break-In Service (if you opted for it) and then ship your glove back to you.

HOW FAST IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?
Since our work is very hands-on and very custom, turnaround times do slightly vary based on workload. That said, we take pride in our typical turnaround time being 2-3 business days from the day we receive your glove - sometimes faster, when possible! If you opt to have your glove relaced while it is at our facility, that option adds another 1-2 days to your turnaround time. If you're in a big hurry, opt for our "Front of the Line" Upgrade when you place your order!

You're going to be impressed with the improvement in your glove from the very first catch when you get it back. That said, if you’re not 100% satisfied with the results for any reason at all, send it back to us and we’ll inspect your glove and go over it again (if beneficial) absolutely free of charge, you pay only for shipping.

1. PLACE YOUR ORDER: Place your order for our Glove Break-In and/or Relace Service here on this page (order 1 service for each glove you're sending in) and add your player's age (example: 9yo) and most typical position (example: shortstop) in the order notes. Adjust the quantity in your cart to see the bulk discounts we offer! Send more than one glove to us at a time to save money, both on our fee and on shipping!
2. PACKAGE YOUR GLOVES: Your local post office or UPS Store will have boxes that fit your gloves if you don't have any. Print a copy of your order confirmation OR write a note referencing your order number and include it in the package. You can have your gloves shipped to us from another vendor as well, just reference your order number in the shipping address.
3. SHIP US YOUR GLOVES: You arrange and pay for shipping to us and we offer free shipping back to you as long as you're in the Continental USA (or you can pay for upgraded return shipping during checkout.) Please make sure to include your order number in the package (or in the shipping address if you're having a glove shipped to us from another vendor!)

THAT'S IT! ONCE WE RECEIVE YOUR GLOVES, WE'LL GET TO WORK ON THEM AND SHIP THEM BACK TO YOU AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. OUR SYSTEM WILL EMAIL YOU TRACKING INFORMATION AS SOON AS YOUR GLOVES SHIP BACK TO YOU.
